Spring Break

Last week was Spring break and that meant I had no more school, swimming lessons or skating lessons. I was free to do whatever i wanted (or at least what mummy and daddy let me get away with). Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate too much with a lot of outdoor plans but I did manage to get in a few activities with friends and with mummy & daddy.

Here I am up at Cultus Lake hanging out with my friends and floating my boat. It was not quite swimming weather or even shorts weather but we still had fun.

Then Mummy, daddy and I headed up to a place called Bridal Falls where there was lots of fun places to explore.

Finally we got some nice weather and I got to go outside and play in my playground and help mummy and daddy with some stuff around the house. I even showed off my driving skills on my tractor.

Learning to swim

I have finally gotten to the age where I can take lessons by myself and here are a few things that I have been learning.

When Daddy asked how my first lesson went and what I learned, I replied, "I peed in the pool"!

Now, I know that is not something they teach you but it was important. Some of the real things that my teacher Derick has been teaching me are - sticking my face in the water, jumpingin without hanging on to hands, kicking my legs and feet and splashing everyone in sight, blowing big bubbles and floating on my back. I am getting better each lesson and who knows maybe by the end of the lessons I will be able to hold that pee!

Some things

So lately mummy and daddy have seen or heard me do some things that just either make them laugh or shake their heads. Here are a few that made their days

Daddy brought me home the night of Grampas birthday and he asked me what we bought Grumpa - " I said spenders and a hat", Daddy asked what was special about today? " I say it's Wednesday!" Daddy says why did we get Grampa a present and I say "cause I love him".

Mummy & I were at London Drugs and while mummy was paying for her stuff I was rearranging the candy (as I like to do). When it was time to go mummy called to me and I come around the corner with a Kinder surprise egg open and a bite taken out of it. She said I was naughty and that I shouldn't have done that to which I reply "I wanted some chocolate"!

The other morning daddy was sweeping up stuff from under the pantry and I look under and said in the correct context "Get the F***king thing out of there"! Mummy's note- Before you all think that it was me who taught him this language while driving I beg to say that I use the word "freaking"!

A Star is born

Well, my day of being a skating star has come and gone and I must say that I was absolutely wonderful. I got to skate 2 shows and show my grandparents and daddy all my skating skills. And because not everyone got to come and watch me, daddy videotaped my performance in the evening so that I could share it with my family and friends. So sit back and watch as a star is born.
