Friday was Halloween and mummy, me and even daddy attended a party at one of our friends house. All my friends were there with one or both of their parents and we all had some really cute costumes on (cause that's what you have to do to get free candy). We played, ate and drank for a little while and then we put on our rain boots and headed outside to strangers houses to ask for candy. Now you can't just ask, you must say " Trick or Treat" and then hold out your bag so they can deposit lots of goodies in it, then you say "Thank you". Sometimes the people will ask you to do a trick so you must be prepared. Mummy warned me of this so I had my trick of jumping on one foot all ready. Then sometimes your grandpa will play a trick on you by putting a pumpkin in your goodie bag instead of candy! Then you must very nicely tell him that it's too heavy!
This was a really fun night cause you get to run around in the dark, ring strangers doorbells, see all sorts of funny decorations and lots of pumpkins with lights. Plus you get to stay up later cause you are under a sugar high!!!!
I'm officially on my way now. This September I get to start kindergarten so my parents have been helping me get ready to conquer school. There are a few things that need to be mastered before I set foot on the hallowed grounds of higher learning.
1) need to have the wiping the bum part down pat so that I don't have crusty underwear!
2) need to learn to eat the healthy portion of my lunch before the yummy portions
3) need to start getting dressed before i come downstairs demanding to watch TV
4) need to start going to bed earlier so that i will wake up in time to start school
5) need to spell my whole name, know my phone numbers, tie my shoes and do up buttons, zippers and buckles.
6) need to learn how not to get frustrated while doing all the above because I am learning all the above and learning involves mistakes along the way!
So as I imbark on my last year of no responsibilities other than to enjoy being 5, I have my one motto - Enjoy everything I do, and have fun
